Local Supermarket
Admittedly, if you’re in the UK it wouldn’t be seen as an advantage to be so near to a Tesco’s! However, staying at an Angelic Villa and being able to walk a hundred yards to the Kartin supermarket to get some warm fresh bread for breakfast, perfect olives or to restock the fridge with wine and beer is pure Turkish delight.
Internet Café
Literally immediately around the corner from Angelic Villas you can go online whilst sipping a Turkish coffee!
Post Office and Banks
You are well served with a Post Office about 150 yards down the hill and three Banks just around the corner – each with a twenty four hour 'hole in the wall' to get extra cash from.
Restaurants and Shops!
You'll be spoilt for choice. You are about 50 yards from the main street which is full of restaurants, cafes and bars. Also it’s just a very short stroll down to the shops – Enjoy!
Atlantis Turkish Bath
Strangely, even the most relaxing holidays can be tiring - all that lying around in the sun can take its toll!
While in Turkey, why not have a Turkish bath? If you’re in the need for some serious pampering - a massage, aromatherapy, pedicure or manicure the Atlantis is just around the corner from Angelic Villas - about 200 yards away. Simply walk down to the Kartin supermarket, turn left, go up to the Yali general store and you’ll find Atlantis welcoming you on the ground floor of the building. Enjoy!
Stunning Drive from Kalkan to Kas (and of course back again!)
The Sunday Times scored this short fifteen mile drive to be one of the best coastal journeys - not only along the Mediterranean but anywhere in the world. It is that special. The views of the famous ‘turquoise coast’ are simply breathtaking, twisting and turning around the numerous bays including the beautiful picture postcard Kaputus Beach. It’s not to be missed.
As a destination Kas doesn’t disappoint, bigger than Kalkan and internationally recognised as an historic site with Lycian tombs built into the surrounding hillsides. A car is easy to rent (just see Abi Travel) or alternatively jump on board a local bus (called a dolmus). The bus station is easy to find, around the corner from Angelic Villas on the way down to the village.
In fact buses, if you don’t fancy driving are a great and inexpensive way to get around, going frequently to all the nearby locations including the world famous seven mile long Patara Beach, which is about ten miles from Kalkan.
